Award-Winning Gin Photography: Behind the Scenes with Paisley 106 Gin
In February, I had the honour of submitting a set of images from my shoot at Paisley 106 Gin to the prestigious Golden Pineapples Awards, hosted by Emma Dunham. I’m beyond thrilled to announce that my work won a Bronze Award—an accomplishment that fills me with pride.
The brief I received was to showcase Paisley 106 Gin in a way that emphasized its luxury appeal and bold design, while highlighting its versatility through the seasons. From summer to winter, the gin needed to stand out, exuding elegance and appeal no matter the time of year.
The Art of Capturing Paisley 106 Gin’s Iconic Design.
One of the standout features of Paisley 106 Gin is its backlit bottle design, expertly created by Nettle of Kidderminster. As a luxury gin brand, this design required a specialized approach to product photography. Backlighting was essential to capture the intricate details and ensure the bottle's stunning appearance was shown in its best light.

To bring this to life, I developed a mood board that drew inspiration from the seasons. This allowed me to craft images that conveyed the warmth of winter, the freshness of summer, and everything in between. By showcasing how the gin could be enjoyed all year round, I was able to convey the versatility of Paisley 106 Gin, whether it was part of a cozy winter evening or a refreshing summer cocktail.
Bringing the Paisley 106 Gin Story to Life
This shoot was not just about capturing a bottle—it was about telling the story of Paisley 106 Gin. I wanted to highlight the signature blend crafted by the team at Paisley 106 in collaboration with Pistons Distillery, which includes rose, cardamom, pomegranate, and orange. To make sure the images were able to be used all year round and to show the botanicals and the unique blend that the team at Paisley 106 had created in collaboration with Piston Distillery.

I’m incredibly proud of the outcome of this project, and even more excited to have had my work recognized with a Bronze Award at the Golden Pineapples. It’s an honor to be part of showcasing Paisley 106 Gin, a product that’s as visually striking as it is delicious.
