The Fig Malvern

6th–26th October 2025| Across Worcestershire

Worcestershire’s food and drink scene is thriving — full of passionate producers, talented chefs, and unforgettable venues.

This October, Taste Worcestershire is bringing them all together in a county-wide celebration, and I had the pleasure of sponsoring the Influencer Launch Event to kick things off.

Stop 1: Faun Wine & Astley Vineyard — A Toast to Local Winemaking

We began our evening at the elegant Faun Wine in Malvern, where guests were treated to a wine talk and pairing session led by Chris Haywood of Astley Vineyard. Chris shared the story behind each pour, keeping the room entertained and inspired with his knowledge and charm.

The menu, crafted by Faun’s talented chef, was a tribute to Worcestershire’s seasonal produce — beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. It was the perfect way to open the event and set the tone for the evening ahead.

Stop 2: Madresfield Butchers & Grill — Farm-to-Fork Excellence

After a short walk downhill, we arrived at Madresfield Butchers & Grill, where the attention to detail was immediately clear.

Chef Tom Friedli was meticulously plating entrées as we entered, and with a chilled Madresfield Gold cider in hand, we listened to Tim speak passionately about their farm-to-fork philosophy.

We were treated to two stunning dishes, each showcasing the venue’s commitment to local sourcing and culinary creativity. It was a delicious and thoughtful stop that highlighted the heart of Worcestershire’s food culture.

Stop 3: Fig Kitchen & Deli — A Sweet and Sparkling Finale

As the evening grew darker, our final stop was the charming Fig Kitchen & Deli. Twinkling lights welcomed us into their cosy upstairs dining room, where we were served a vibrant sharing board (or a solo feast, if you were lucky!) alongside colourful chips and a refreshing Malvern Gold cider.

The ambience was warm, the service impeccable, and the food — simply divine. A huge thank you to Carly Weyman and her team for hosting us so beautifully. For dessert, we were treated to a decadent cheesecake from The Watson Kitchen. After such a feast, many of us needed doggy bags to take it home!
